A Beautiful Video of an Aperture and Shutter Working in Concert
Accompanied by an equally beautiful song by Italian singer Rina Ketty, 1911-1996. The song "J'attendai" (I will wait) was recorded in 1938, and although originally written in Italian by Dino Olivieri and recorded by Carlo Buti in1937, it is sung here in French (this version has become the most popular). The song became an emblem of World War II, and is about a woman proclaiming her commitment to wait for her sweetheart soldier to come home from the war.
Why do I bother to tell you this? Because I think the person who chose to publish this incredible video on YouTube recognizes the beauty of human ingenuity and had to choose an equally beautiful song to highlight this feeling. Humans have basically created a synthetic eye here students. Amazing!
