Digital Art & Graphic Design
To design is to communicate clearly by whatever means you can control or master. -Milton Glaser, designer of the I love New York logo
DO NOW
Digital Art & Graphic Design is a year long course at GSHS that explores visual communication. Students will use computer software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks) to create digital art and design projects for school and real world applications. One of the "real world" projects we worked on during the 2008-09 school year was a logo for the Rifle Animal Shelter. The shelter had requested design entries from the community, and ended up choosing one of the designs by a GSHS student, who was paid for her work. Click here for a class syllabus.
